Indo International Premier Kabaddi League is ready for a lunch. Sports broadcaster DSport has tied up with the New Kabaddi Federation of India (NKFI) to lunch this sports In India.
The New Kabaddi Federation of India (NKFI) is one of the leading associations promoting the sport of Kabaddi in India. This Kabaddi Federation is formed in the May-2017. It is recognized by World Kabaddi Federation (WKF). Mr. Sarvesh Kumar is the President of NKF and Mr. M.V. Prasad Babu is the Secretary of NKF. NKFI is going to launch its own Kabaddi League in India called as ‘Indo International Premier Kabaddi League’. This league will be very much similar to running kabaddi league “Pro Kabaddi League“.
It will have 8 teams with 62 matches spread over one-and-a-half months. Each team is to have 3-4 foreign players from countries around the world. The league is planning to attract players from New Zealand, Poland, Argentina, Tanzania, Australia, Norway, the United Kingdom, Canada, the USA, Afghanistan, Iran, Mexico, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Kenya, Iraq, Denmark and various other nation from the globe.
Schedule and Venue for the Indo International Premier Kabaddi League are yet to be announced. Jaya Shetty, Chief Advisor of NKFI said that “There will be four venues and we are considering to host it away from the main cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru. The other details about franchises, players will be shared at a later stage”.
I’m really proud to see Kabaddi growing in India. In the last few years we have been seeing a drastic change in people’s mindset for Kabaddi. With the launch of this league, we expect that Kabaddi will gain more encouragement as a sport in India. This league is the only platform to be launched where highly talented players all across the globe will be put to test,” said NKFI President Sarvesh Kumar.
NKFI general secretary MV Prasad Babu adds: “We are overwhelmed to launch the Indo International Premier Kabaddi League in India. This will be the first league featuring the best of Indian and International players from across the world. We believe that the Indo International Premier Kabaddi league will be the landmark event which will set a new benchmark for the sport and we are honored to tie up with DSPORT. We are very excited about this season and can’t wait to witness the fighting spirit and enthusiasm of the players.”
