Pro Kabaddi League organizer plans to make this league much bigger than all previous season. PKL 2017 will start from 28th of July and will be played until the 28th of October. This time four new teams were introduced in this edition. So, Total 12 teams will play in PKL.

Here is Pro Kabaddi League 2017 Season 5 schedule:
Week 1 – July 28th to August 3 – Hyderabad
Week 2 – August 4 to August 10 – Bangalore
Week 3 – August 11 to August 17 – Ahmedabad
Week 4 – August 18 to August 24 – Lucknow
Week 5 – August 25 to August 31 – Mumbai
Week 6 – September 1 to September 7 – Kolkata
Week 7- September 8 to September 14 – Haryana
Week 8 – September 15 to September 21 – Ranchi
Week 9 – September 22 to September 28 – Delhi
Week 10 – September 29 to October 5 – Chennai
Week 11 – October 6 to October 12 – Jaipur
Week 12 – September 13 to October 20 – Pune
Playoffs – October 22, 23 – Mumbai
October 26, 28 – Chennai
This time league will play for 12 weeks at 12 different venue. If we see the tentative schedule then the First match will be played at Hyderabad from 28th July to 3rd August.
In the second week, PKL 2017 will be held at Banglore from 4th August to 10th August and same goes on like.
Ahamenad and Lucknow will host in 3rd and the 4th week respectively. Mumbai and Kolkata will host the match in 5th and 6th week. Mumbai from 25th August to 31st August.
Whereas Kolkata will host the match 1st September to 7th September. Haryana and Ranchi are 7th and 8th week. Followed by Delhi, Chennai, Jaipur and Pune in the 9th week, 10th week, 11th week, and 12th week.
Playoff match will be held at Mumbai in the 13th week from 22nd Oct and 23 Oct and second playoff match will be held at Chennai on 26th October and 28th October.

The participating teams are Puneri Paltan with 15 players, Bengal Warriors with 18 players, Bengaluru Bulls with 18 players, Dabang Delhi with 20 players, Gujarat Fortunegiants with 18 players, Haryana Steelers with 22 players, Jaipur Pink Panthers with 19 players, Patna Pirates with 18 players, Tamil Thaliavas with 25 players, Telugu Titans with 18 players, Team UP with 18 players and U Mumba with 18 players.
Nitin Tomar becoming the costliest player in the history of Pro Kabaddi League. He was bought by Uttar Pradesh for Rs 93 lakh.
