Al-Janoub Stadium (Arabic: استاد الجنوب), formerly known as Al-Wakrah Stadium (Arabic: استاد الوكرة), is a retractable roof football stadium in Al-Wakrah, Qatar. It is one of the dedicated venues for the 2022 FIFA world cup. The stadium will host the seven matches of the 2022 FIFA world cup which includes a quarter-final also.
The FIFA federation has announced the schedule for the FIFA World Cup 2022. A total of seven matches will be played at this venue. Al-Janoub stadium has a seating capacity of 40,000 but after the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar, it will again be reduced to its original size which is 21000. This season Qatar will host the biggest sports event of football. The tournament will begin on November 20, 2022, while the final will be staged on 18 December 2022 which coincides with Qatar National Day. Even then it will be hot with temperatures around the 30C mark.
About Al Janoub Stadium
The Al Janoub Stadium is a masterpiece designed by the Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid together with the firm AECOM. One of Qatar’s oldest continuously inhabited areas, Al Wakrah was long a center for pearl diving and fishing. The traditional dhow boats used in these pursuits inspired the design of Al Janoub Stadium.
This stadium is full of heritage before or after the match also, Fans can come and take a stroll along the waterfront, buy unique local wares at the souq or discover the area’s rich history at a museum.

Al Janoub Stadium Ticket Price For FIFA World Cup 2022
Ticket booking is started for the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar is hosting this time the world’s most popular event in their very own style. All tickets will be sold on an online basis only.

The ticket Prices for the Al Janoub are not so high but they will go high in the last few days as the match comes to near.
For the quarter-final match, the ticket price for the Al Janoub Stadium is approx 1200 USD and for the Group stage matches, the ticket price for any stadium is between 200 USD to 2000 USD. Match tickets for Qatar Residents are very cheap but they need to produce valid documents to watch the match.
