Ahmad bin Ali Stadium (Arabic: ملعب أحمد بن علي), popularly known as the Al-Rayyan Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar. Currently, only football matches are played at this stadium. The stadium will host the seven matches of the 2022 FIFA world cup which includes a quarter-final also.
Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium is also one of the dedicated venues for FIFA World Cup 2022. The FIFA federation has announced the schedule for the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Al-Rayyan Stadium has a seating capacity of 50,000 but after the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar, it will again be reduced to its original size. This season Qatar will host the biggest sports event of football. The tournament will begin on November 20, 2022, while the final will be staged on 18 December 2022 which coincides with Qatar National Day. Even then it will be hot with temperatures around the 30C mark.
